Always clean dentures over a basin with water to prevent damage if they are dropped. Brushing is vital, as soaking alone is not enough to remove plaque and stains. Use a non-abrasive denture paste and pay special attention to crevices and any metal parts in partial dentures. For dentures made of metal and plastic, rinse after meals and brush with soap and warm water. Avoid soaking in harsh cleaners or household products. You may be required to remove your dentures overnight to maintain gum health.
